About us

Euskararen Etxea, or the House of the Basque Language, is located in the San Ignazio district of Bilbao, and was founded in 2004 as the result of a collaborative effort involving the Bizkaia Provincial Council, the Bilbao City Council and the Basque Regional Government. It is currently managed by the Azkue Fundazioa.

The Basque Language Information Centre

The Basque Language Information Centre is located in Bilbao’s San Ignazio district, within the House of the Basque Language. It contains interesting and useful information about the history and current situation of the Basque language.
