The Basque Language Information Centre is located in Bilbao’s San Ignazio district, within the House of the Basque Language. It contains interesting and useful information about the history and current situation of the Basque language.
Designed as a train station, it charts the journey made by the Basque language over the centuries and is an unbeatable opportunity to learn about this language in a fun and amusing way.
Information is provided in Basque, Spanish, English and French and free guided tours are also available. You can visit the centre individually or as group, and schools can also participate in its educational project.
There is no admission charge and opening times are as follows:
- Monday to Saturday: 10:00 – 14:00 and 16:00 – 19:00.
- Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays.
